Dan, I hope that the way things were presented and blown up in the original thread on customs skill enhancers doesn't serve to give you a personal axe against adding the capability in v2 or v3 or whatever (like v1.19 ha ha). I think (yeah, I know you know I'd think this :) ) that it really would be useful and I do think it is a reasonable flexibility to add in, even under a reasonably strict reading of 5th edition. I have added a couple skill enhancers myself (Warrior, gives you a cost break with weapons, and Driver, gives you cost breaks with the transport/pilot skills), I'm sure others have/will.
So anyway, I'd like to add my vote to the idea of adding this capability. As I've stated in the listserv, I think the customer service has been outstanding in regard to enhancements, and I have no rant on this topic in terms of your support, Dan, I think you've done fine. It may be selfish, as you added an enhancement to help me workaround something, but I don't think it is as I've seen you help many people here.

The closest I'm likely to come to that is to have any Adders that are applied to a List automatically apply to any items placed in that list.
This would allow you to, for example, create a list called "Warrior" and put a -1 Custom Adder into it (you could even clear the text on the Adder so that it doesn't display). Any item placed in this list would then have 1 point taken off of the cost.

Dan that would be a great way to address the question at hand. Are you considering it for V2? (shameless inept attempt at V2 intel gathering.... )

Dan,
That suggestion would be a perfect solution if easy to do for customizing new skill enhancers. I also would vote for this one.

Dan, this would be great. I play mostly Champions. so it would come up pretty rarely, but in a Star Hero or Fantasy Hero game I could see it making a huge difference.
BTW. Couldn't you do something similar with an EC? If so, that may be a temporary workaround.
Put only WF skills in it. You'd get the warning, but it lets you do it. You could even put CSL for weapons you have Fam with to represent you train faster with a given weapon
Ex.
1 EC called Warior(2 active point powers)
1 WF common (2 active)
1 +1 w/ long sword(2 active)
This isn't perfect, but something like that maybe.

That is a nice little workaround though. With this all you need to do is put a 2 point adder on the EC base and you can call it the Skill Enhancer.
3) Dex Enhancer Elemental Control (2pt reserve), +2 Enhancer adjustment
2 Acrobatics
2 Breakfall
2 Climbing
2 Fastdraw

This would be a great solution for many other things as well, I like it and hope you can do it someday. Thanks for the consideration.

That's an incredible idea... and now officially stolen.
