View Full Version : Mansfield, Ohio Area

Looking for any players in this area to join a (small) gaming group of three guys. We normally meet every Monday or Tuesday evening and play from 6:00p - 11:00p or so, depending on digressions and work schedules.
Exposure to the Hero System is preferred, though we would be willing to instruct a completely new player if necessary. Experience as a GM doesn't hurt, either, because we all like to play as well.
Look forward to hearing from you! :D

Boll,
Mansfield is about four hours north of Cinci. It's an hour north of Columbus, and an hour south of Cleveland.

Don't suppose you ever lived there? All the gamers in Kent seem to know each other.

Syber,
No, I never did, but I know roughly where it is.

I have recently( 10 weeks ago ), started a new campaign with 4 - 6 regular players, meeting sunday afternoons. I would like to hear from you to discuss our campaigns, ideas, or just to rant about the game in general.

You gotta deal. I miss winter weather, I miss trees. REAL tress, not this sorry excuse for scrub brush I've seen down here. This part of NC is so over-grown with so-called "smart growth" residential zones, there's nothing even close to home. While everyone else is cursing "Winter Storm 2003", I'm getting homesick shut in from the weather, sipping coffee while I watch a 30-minute flurry.
My God, I miss Ohio.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot............

Well, If you like I can check to see if the two groups I know about in Winston are still going (They play mostly Hero). I'm headed down to winston for a visit the second week in March and can get with them then....

Hey guys... my g/f and I are in Zanesville, about an hour east of Columubus. I'm running a Fantasy Hero game (converted from the Warhammer fantasy world) about once every 2 weeks. Only one of the players had any former exposure to Hero besides myself. Sure would be nice to find a group to hang out with that knows the ins-n-outs of the rules tho.
Wishful thinkin',

It's good to see there are gamers in Ohio. How about the Cleveland area? I miss being able to ravage a city and then go home at the end of the day and sip tea.

Er, I'm from Columbus (Westerville, actually). I've only barely played Champions post-forth edition, though I've remained a closet enthusiast. Picked up 5th ed core, and the Champions and Star Hero books last week. I'm blown away!

My understanding is that thier are quite a few good stores in Columbus. Going to Origins, right?

There are a few good stores in Columbus to which I've personally made pilgrimages in the past. The best by far is the Guardtower, located on Trabue Road.
It's a little out of the way, but it's got more roleplaying stuff than I've ever seen in one place before!

/sigh.......
And here I sit stuck in Spokane Washington.... Desperate to move back home to Cleveland. And now this just adds insult to injury. There are a few HERO players in the Spokane area, but nothing like I had back home.
