View Full Version : Add To Totals

OK...now that I've put in some functionality that I wasn't planning on until v2 (the ability to specify totalling options for all Movement Powers), I wanted to revisit the display of the totalling options.
Currently, as many are painfully aware, the app will automatically insert text like "(added to Primary Value)", "(added to Secondary Value)", or "(not added to totals)".
Is this something that you'd like to continue to see, or should I "turn off" this feature?
I'm almost leaning in favor of turning the feature off, myself, as anyone that wants that information can include it in the Power's description or in the notes....

Dan,
If I'm understanding the question correctly, then I want the ability to choose how I want the totals to display during power building, but then I don't want the actual terms (added to primary, added to secondary, etc.) to display in the finished product.
Is that what you're wanting to know?

That's pretty much it, yes. The ability to specify where the powers will total into (primary, secondary or not at all) will remain regardless of what is decided here.
What I'm looking for is feedback on whether folks want the text "added to primary" etc to display in the "finished product".

I voted for drop it but include option in v2.0, I could easily been swinged to leave it, Include it in v2.0 (in otherwords, I'm voting for the option more than the leaving it in or taking it out)

I'd go for the "include during power creation but not in power definition text".
Having the option to toy with it while creating the power is cool, but it's pretty much just wasted space when it comes to a character sheet.

I think you should leave it, most of us have been playing for a while, and know what we are looking for, but It may help out a new player.
