I know that you would not wish to give specifics, but could we get an idea if sales improved over last year's DDC (just in general terms)?

In terms as specific as we can give, Dundracon '05 improved over '04 by about 30%. As far as we're concerned, a raging success all the way around. Hudson City and Valdorian Age seemed well received, several people caught up on Mystic and Vibora Bay, and the PDFs on CD also seemed very popular. dw

Wow! Thanks for the great news! I know this does not mean everything is fine in the market, but it is certainly good news!

Because I had to go out of town for an unexpected funeral, I was not able to make it for DDC. My roommate did attend and felt so sorry for me that she bought me three books & the Maps Template I (along with a fist full of Hero dice for herself.)

Just speaking for myself, I had no idea previous to recent announcements that Hero got more or less 'pure profit' from books sold at convention. (Although this should have been obvious.) No doubt many of us will 'save up' purchases for events where we know you'll have a booth.

30%?!? WOW! That's awesome guys, glad to hear it.

I'll try and do my part to boost the online sales as the new stuff comes out. :D

And that's with a bunch of us hardcore Hero groupies hanging out at the booth all the time! Just imagine how much they might have sold if passers-by could actually see and reach the books! ;)

I'm just hoping this indicates a trend and applies at Origins and GenCon. :hex:

Flashy events that draw in people to get them to try the game will lead them to the booth.

Especially things that show off the ultimate and setting books as useful for those still bound by other rulesets.

You can always borrow the "Booth Kitty" concept from Anime cons :P
Works for me when I'm selling my work at fetish events anyway.
HEROTina in her superhero ID would CERTAINLY attract people to the booth :D

The Hero dice are back in stock?

No, the dice aren't back in stock yet. I brought the last of my own personal stash along to sell at the con, that's all.

It probably also has to do with the big glowy curved knife.

Damn, I missed a big glowy knife?
I'm shattered.
We really were planning to come for no reason other than the Saturday party and to meet folk, but a sudden crisis of fundage prevented it.
Ah, the joys of being self employed

Just talking about her appearance in Shades of Black/her avatar. I've never seen Tina with a big glowy knife thing. I'm sure she was much more fetching in the outfit in question.

to which some will say, "What's not fetching about Tina with a knife?"

She could probably fetch a lot with a big glowy knife.
