Combined Absorption

What is the correct/preferred method for constructing an absorption (or other adjustment power) that affects two things at the same time?

30 Absorption 6d6 PD to STR/DEX

or

30 Absorption 3d6 PD to STR + 3d6 PD to DEX

or something else?

There are two possibilities.

First, split the Absorption -- Absorption 4d6 (half to STR, half to DEX).

Second, buy the +1/2 level of Varying Effect so that it affects both equally at the same time -- Absorption 4d6, Varying Effect (STR and DEX at once; +1/2).
