View Full Version : More Amusing Meeb stuff

Some more funny stuff from playing an amoeba.

The group was assaulting a Viper base. We run into a couple of 5 teams of agents. Between a huge PRE attack, and Meeb being able to do area affect attacks, we made short work of the agents....

And they had guns.

And everyone decided Meeb should carry them, as he can create as many pseudopods as he needs.

Then we were remembered about blazing away and multiple power attacks.

Be Afraid.

Groovy.

I just wonder if this kind of thing will be covered by the Ultimate Metamorph.

In general we figured out about 240 shots (with different guns, and differing amount of charges). Chances are I won't hit the bad guy, but the final set is going to look like one when Bond gets done.

With the number of shots he'll be firing, you'll get a critical or two. And think of the PRE attack. :)

Yeah. With his odd combination of powers, he has been very much a jack of all trades and covers most things the team needs. Some really interesting synergies have happened - he has 360 vision (SFX seeing from every inch of his body) combined with stretching and shapeshift to send little tiny tendrils to see into something a distance away sorta like a fiberoptic camera... his extra limbs (as many as needed) has come up once or twice. He has an area effect on his str (gloms over a whole big area) that has pretty much turned into an anti agent move... Each session something odd or wierd comes up with him.

It has been a blast to play. :)

I can imagine it has been a blast to play, but it has also been mighty cool being the GM of the game he is being played in.

All right, you've got me curious. I want to see his stats. If you've posted them before, link me. Curious GM's like me want to know.

Second this.

I'm playing a shapeshifter (named Ink; sadly not original), and have seen some of these same kind of things (though not the pile of guns; that is FUNNY!!!).

I'm dying for Ultimate Metamorph; can't wait for new ideas.

Nah - I can't draw a stick figure right. We've got an artist in our group, and each time Meeb does something really funny or cool, he does a quick 5 minute sketch of said cool thing.

I've posted them here before, but the one on my webpage is more current -

And be warned when looking him over, the GM prefers some things 3rd edition style, so Meeb's EC would be illegal in other games, but it is okay in his.

This Page (http://home.comcast.net/~lordmho/chars/meeb.htm) is the character sheet, background and also has all of the Meeb artwork to date.

I am not scared by wonder 3rd edition for forsooth, I verily understand and can adapt to yonder rules from 1st - 5th edition.

Oh, and thanks for the link! ..... Glurb Burbble - LOL! I love it! There's nothing wrong with him, it's just a skin condition, yeah, that's it.

For that bit of humor you can thank Oddhat. It came up in a previous meeb thread (http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24568) , But once the idea showed up, I had to have that as one of the pieces of artwork. :)

Im really sorry for derailing this thread, but I have a rules question on Meebs sheet thats just bugging me.

How do you justify buying ALWAYS ON for the Damage Reduction? Its already a persistant power, and I dont see any "limitation" in giving it the always on disadvantage. Even if I can think of a few (ie, skin is so durable, doctors cant pierce it with needles to administer a vaccine), it certaintly isnt worth -1/2 (hardly -1/4).

I was just wondering if I was missing something...Thanks.

Semi-illegal cost saving measure - the GM has already had it come into play. When it comes to frameworks limitations and the like, the GM is very causual about things - for him it is about story and character not points and fine legalities. As long at it comes close he okays it. I even asked if that was a legal lim on that, and he okayed it.

Like I said, story over legalities.

I have a couple of "Meeb should have had this to begin with" that I am buying, then I am buying those lims off. :)

Okay, just checking. It seemed a bit odd to me...Definately nothing I would have allowed, but then again I usually have to keep collars on most of my players to keep them in character, as opposed to power gaming (well, some of them anyhow.)

Regardless, the character looks very cool (in stats, story, and artwork). Well done......

Thank you.

I've played a number of very serious kind of character for the last 8 or ten years. It's been nice to completely cut loose with Meeb.

A cuople of running gags at the sessions:
Everyaoemba skills.
Power Skill: Meeb.

I have been playing ever since George & Steve released their dream on the world of superheroes back 81' and I will always love it, I do at times get into the technical aspect & game mechanics of the game but I really love it for the storys it helps tell. I think if you played it exactly "by the book", it puts too much restrictions and boundaries on the group of authors playing in the story (the GM and the players are all authors)` :)

I didn't even notice this post.
*smacks self on head*

The GM speaks. :)

And welcome to the boards... well not really welcome but welcome to the thread.

You should post more. Go on down the NGD - you can really bloat your post count there. ;)
