Adjusting limited powers

I have an 8d6 EB with limitations, say -1/2 and absorption which feeds the EB.

If I absorb 20 points, how many dice does my EB do now? I figure it is either 12d6 (+4d6 EB costs 20 points) OR 14d6 (+6d6 EB with a -1/2 limitation costs 20 points).

I assume it is the first one, but I couldn't see anything that made it entirely clear so I thought I'd ask.

Per 5ER 105, Adjustment Powers affect the Active Points in the target ability. Limitations are, thus, ignored -- in your example, the EB would do 12d6 after Absorption.
