If I want to apply a modifier to a Characteristic, normally I'd buy the characteristic down and then on the Powers tab, buy it back up with whatever modifiers I want.

But if I want to modify more than one Characteristic, I can't because only one can be bought down.

How, then, do I apply modifiers to more than one characteristic? For instance, Hardened to PD and ED.

First, do not buy the Characteristics down, it is unnecessary. Instead:

1. Buy the Characteristic you want to modify as a Power.
2. Check the box labeled, "Add Modifiers to Base Characteristic".
3. In this Power, buy whatever Modifiers you want to apply to the Characteristic.

That's all there is to it. What you get is something like this:

2 Hardened (+1/4) (2 Active Points) applied to PD

This is on a character with an 8 PD. While you can buy up the Characteristic as a Power, you don't need to if all you want are the Modifiers (I left the PD in the Power as 0).

Alternatively, if you wish to buy up multiple Characteristics as powers because of character concept, you can buy down of multiple Characteristics by editing campaign rules HD works by: click the appropriate check in the campaign rules screen (use edit champaign rules command, make wished changes, save edited rules with name, load them, change char as following them instead of hero default, save char).

Cool, thanks.
