Yes, I got the first post.
So. Who is going to be using this book. I really figured I wouldn't, but after reading the playtest I am probably going to use it in a campaign. What about everyone else?

Yes, I got the first post.
Actually I beat you by what was probably less than one minute.;)
I am definately going to use the Terran Empire as soon as I can get my hands on it. I won't use it wholesale but it will definately save the time and trouble of drawing up my new campaign from scratch.

If I were starting another campaign right now, it would very likely be SF using Terran Empire. Of course by the time I get to start another campaign, Fantasy Hero will probably be out. :)

We are currently making characters for TE. We are putting our GURPS Traveller campaign on hold and will be doing all our SciFi gaming with Star Hero shortly. Now if DOJ would just get that book out I wouldn't feel like a louse for letting the other gamers read my printed copy of the playtest manuscript. :)

After the playtest, I'm really tempted to put together a SH game set in the Terran Empire. How I'm going to get the time to do this is another question :) .
(edited due to smilie problem -- let's see if it's showing now)

Well, it's pretty much in the hands of the printer, Monolith; we're gettin' it out to you as fast as we can. ;)

I'll probably use it for inspiration only. However, if my players truly prefer me to run TE, I guess I'll have to accomodate them. Especially since my current campaign is also my first attempt at designing a world from scratch........

We could send Mechanon out to have a talk with the printer:)

i'm gonna pick it up. Not sure if I will use it as my campaign, but after reading the playtest script I do want to have it around.

I'm a Hero System addict, so I'll probably pick the book up.
Ah, who am I kidding. I'll pick the book up. And it'll make me sad. Sad because convincing my regular gaming group to play a Hero game (other than Champions - and even that's not easy) is like getting an honest statement from a politician.

I understand completely how you feel. I am driving an hour and a half now just to GM Champions because no one in my area wants to do anything but play D&D.
So of course now I have a HERO game and its...champions. Sigh...

Count your blessings. I am going to have to play Rifts if I want a game. At least until the guy who wants to run a Champs game stops working 80 hour weeks...

My guess is that Terran Empire did not make it out in time for DDC. If it had I would assume some lucky attendees would have been in here telling us all how wonderful it was. I must just wait longer. Darn that printer! :)

Sadly, yeah, it didn't make the show. We have a manuscript here to show people; so far everyone's loved it. The book should ship in about a week to 10 days, according to our best current info.

I thought we got Mechanon to solve that printer problem?

Unfortunately, due to this cold weather, Mechanon's joints have all frozen up. :)

Don't worry, by the time the next book comes up I'm sure he will have adapted to correct that design flaw.
