To print an entire character with image on one 8 1/2 x 11 page?

I can't seem to find that template...

try some of the 3-column "condensed" templates. Those will be your best bet. If the character is "large" you may be SOL, however....

Then I would like to request that to be a future enhancement.

I cannot print my character sheet (with or without image) on anything less than 2 pages no matter what template.

I was able to do this with the old hero creator and miss it.

That's not so much an enhancement as something that someone will simply do one day. The export templates are something that anyone can create.....that's the point. The technology is there in the application to do (pretty much) whatever you need.

If there's not an existing template that works for you, my suggestion would be to take one that comes closest and modify it....or (if you don't know how to) ask someone on these boards to help you out.

Just butting in. Try this template. Its a modification of the 3 Column Compressed. Just remember to change the extension from txt to hde so HD will recognize it.

This template (and some judicious editing) has fit pretty much everything I've done on one page.

What are you trying to do with it?

You need to save the file as XXX.hde (where XXX is whatever file name you want for it). Make sure it ends with a .hde extension.

Then just place it in your Export Templates directory (in your HD install folder) and start up HD. When you go to File -> Set Export Template it will be one of the items in the list.

Did that. Simply right clicked on the link and selected save as...saved as xxx.hde. Put it in my export templates and hd does not recognize. Still looks like a text file when I open it.

Then your system is likely saving is as XXX.hde.txt

You'll need to ensure that the extension is .hde (with nothing following it)

I shoulda figured that out. Windows is set to hide known file extensions.

Issue resolved. Thanks! I need to mess with the format I think...

It was a problem on my end thanks to my borders/margin. Had to reduce them to .25".

This template also only takes a tiny image. I will have to work on that a bit...

Thanks for all the help!

Grunt. I had the right page margin issue with the Default Character Sheet when using images too. Easily fixed; just change the Page Setup for the browser before you print......
