Is there even the slimmest chance of DOJ contacting the people behind the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to do their role-playing book? Heck, I'll write it for Slave Wages if it meant DOJ would get it instead of some d20 or worse company doing one.

Palladium use to own the rights to TMNT, I do not know if someone owns it now.

Steve and Darren have both stated that licensing other people IP is not in the plans of DOJ. It is very hard to recoup the cost of the license. I'm very glad for once to see Hero Games ran with business sense for once.

My suggestion; get your TMNT collection out, read up, buy Ninja Hero, and go wild.

I know Palladium doesn't have the licence any more. They kept the game going for a long time, reprinting books long after the craze had died out, and even were getting ready to put out a second edition. When they looked into the cost of re-upping the license, it just wasn't worth it.

The second edition book did show up, it was just about mutant animals in the future rather than anything related to TMNT.

I have to agree that this probably wouldn't be the best fit for DOJ.
