Hidey ho. I was trying to make an Extra Dimensional Movement Gate, but I cant seem to add Continuous to EDM in pursuit of this goal.
On FREd page 111 2nd column, 1st full paragraph it states that you can make an EDM gate following the rules for a Teleport Gate on pg 149 applying the rules for Teleport Gates to EDM.
pg 149 directs the use of AoE 1 Hex, Continuous, and Gate (-1/2). A board search on Gate indicated that you suggest a Custom Mod to handle Gate, but I thought Id let you know about Continuous being squelched for EDM when it is a legal modifier in this circumstance.

Per FREd, Extra Dimensional Movement is innately Constant. You cannot apply Continuous to a Constant Power....there is no affect.

I did not see that "innately Constant" quote under the power description and the table on page 87 lists EDM as an Instant power.

Well that just means one of the two listing is a typo. My guess is that EDM works the same way as Teleportation rather than Flight.
The Dimensional Gate power in the USPD also makes EDM purchase the Continuous Advantage, so it would seem that the Teleportation example is probably the correct one.

That's going to have to be up to Steve to decide.

Ok, looks like Steve has ruled that EDM being Constant is a typo...Im tracking 'Constant' as a Custom Mod currently, and will just try to remember to check future update releases to see if this gets corrected eventually. Thanx!
