I have a sword that boosts my strength. I only pay the 5 end, on phases that I use the strength boost. Right?

We also have an NPC (that has a very low SPD) with Density increase. Does it only use end on the 3 phases it chooses? What happens if it uses the density increase in phase 4 does it cover it till it's next phase on 8?

Also after the first turn if if it has density on at phase 12 is that cover it till it's next phase 4? This is important since the density increase is part of it's PD and ED protection?

Normally, you only pay END for anything on your phases, and only if you use the power, and that covers the usage until your next phase when you have to pay END again for anything that costs END. So assuming that there are no advantages or limits on the power you mentioned which would change this:

The swordsman only has to pay END for the STR boost on the phases he uses the STR boost.

The player with Density Increase must pay for Density Increase every one of their phases or lose the Density Increase. Paying the Density Increase on one phase means that they get all of the bonuses from the Density Increase(including the PD and ED), until it is his/her turn to act again.
