Hi all,

So... Have folks allowed animals (non-sentient) as DNPC's?

Thanks!

I do not.

but upon reading this thread title I immediately thought of some of the first comics I ever read.... and if Tintin's Snowy isn't a DNPC (as well as a follower prhaps), I'll eat Dr. Silverback. (just kidding Darren)

Why not? Witchcraft has one :)

It really depends on if the Character values the animal almost as much, if not as much as a person somehow.

My Fex character in my Star Hero campaign has a Dyrellian Tiger as a pet/companion. I have never had a superhero take an animal DNPC in a game because they usually buy them as followers. I would probably allow it though, depending on how the player decided to use the animal.

I do, happily. As someone with two demanding dogs and five fantastic ferrets, I spend more time than I'd like to admit taking care of them -- including driving across the state in the middle of the night when one of those dogs escaped from boarding!

I'd allow it.

I am pretty sure my pug thinks I am his DNPC
