Just wanted to let the Digital Hero playtesters know that the manuscript for The Spacer's Toolkit is now available for downloading in the usual place.
Looking forward to hearing what you think!

I'd like to offer my congratulations to Ben Seeman on the imminent completion of this project. I remember Ben remarking not long ago that he had taken the webmaster job with DoJ without particular enthusiasm at first (the bile of the Cybergames experience still fresh on his tongue), but that the quality of the product and of his colleagues had completely turned him around. He's obviously absorbed the HERO System deeply enough to join the ranks of published Hero Games authors, and on a book where system knowledge must be essential.
Kudos, Ben. I hope you had a blast writing this one, and I look forward to The Spacer's Toolkit and your future work. :)

Ben and I chat via IM quite a bit so I've heard a lot of his ideas and seen his sketches. I'd also like to offer my congrats (AGAIN) and say how much I'm looking forward to this book coming out. I wasn't much into sci-fi before. The ships I drew for Terran Empire were really the first sci-fi things I ever did, and I didn't think they were that good when working on them. But after a few positive comments on them, and more sci-fi assignments in TE, it's become a genre I enjoy very much. Hearing about all the cool vehicles that Ben put in Toolkit was really cool. In fact, it really sparked my imagination and I started drawing them and all kinds of my own ships. So yeah, can't wait for it to come out.
Now if only I could find a Star Hero game to play in. Anyone live near Chino, California? ;)
