I've been out of the RPG loop for a while, but am interested in checking out again. Looking for a Champions or Fanstasy Hero campaign...I can either play or GM. Is there anyone in the Rochester NY area interested? Looking for (relatively)mature players.

Yes, there is Hero Life in Rochester, NY. My group that I usually gamemaster for on Sunday afternoons generally prefers the Hero system. I just finished running some Champions (5th Ed.) adventures for them. Currently we're doing Deadlands (and have done Shadowforce Archer/Spycraft and Diablo D20 recently as well), but I'm sure we'll be back to doing Champions, Fantasy Hero, and maybe some Starhero!:) Another place to look for players is AccessDenied.Net where I have a listing, plus there are about 20 or so other listings for players in the Rochester, NY area (though not all are Hero gamers).

Thanks for your reply. A friend and I who both used to play the hero system and D&D are looking for a group. If you need/want any more, drop me a line!

Yes, we could definitely use more players (who are also welcome to GM too:))! Which group would you like: 1) the Saturday evening group is generally into GURPS (superhero and horror generally), Cthulhu D20, 7th Sea, plus possibly D&D 3rd ed., and other RPG's; 2) the Sunday afternoon group is mostly into Hero Games (the preferred system of choice), though we are currently doing Deadlands, and have also done Spycraft/Shadowforce Archer recently. As for gaming locations, the Saturday evening group is open to gaming at different people's homes (these currently being my home in Fairport, plus homes in Ontario and Gates, NY). The Sunday group usually meets between 1:00 and 1:30 pm, usually at a home in Gates, NY (though once in a while, it may be at a home in Penfield, or if I'm lucky, my house in Fairport):D ). Hope to hear from you soon!

I am looking to start a Champions campaign either through the UofR or the RIT game group this fall, unless I can find enough gamers outside of those organizations. I need to read the new rules first, though, since it has been many years since I last played any type of RPG. I am also waiting for the new revised Hero system rules to come out, though I am presently reading the Champions sourcebook, the Champions Universe book, and the villians book.
