Gambling Troubles

Despite it being available in the rulebook, I can't seem to buy a 1-pt Gambling skill (Chess, for instance). It gives me a minimum cost of two points.

First entry in the Rules FAQ:

Q: For Skills like Animal Handler, Forgery, Gambling, and Survival, that cost 2 points for a Characteristic-based roll with a category, and have 1-point subcategories of those categories, could a character buy a Characteristic-based roll with just a subcategory for 1 Character Point?

A: No. At a minimum, Skills such as Forgery and Gambling cost 2 points for the Characteristic-based roll. A character could choose to select just a 1-point subcategory instead of a full 2-point category, but the minimum cost is 2 points. However, for just 1 Character Point a character could have a Familiarity with either a category or subcategory. However, characters cannot keep purchasing Familiarities with the same Skill, again and again, to obtain lots of 2-point categories for 1 point each.
