View Full Version : Read this if you interested in old Hero products

I started this thread because my retailer has dozens of old Hero products for sale. About 95% of this stuff is Champions material. They sell books on 75% discount. Part of these books is still wrapped on plastics.
So if somebody is interested in buying old Champion products, I could go there and buy them (of course I can make catalogue first and send it here). Price would be quite low, maybe 5-10 dollars per book. I'm not sure how much it costs sending books around world. Now it is good chance to get old books.

I assume (hopefully), that these books are printed in english? (no offense intended, just asking because I don't read let alone speak whatever the main language is in Finland)

If we want some of these books, how would we pay? Do you have a paypal account?
Harvester
May 5th, '03, 12:24 AM
No, I don't have PayPal account. Is it hard to do PayPal account? We have to think what is the best way to do payment. Maybe PayPal is the best.

It has been so long since I opened mine... I think all you need is a bank account and Paypal can transfer to the account... or you can use the credit to may purchases online.
Going with Paypal would be the quickest way to be about this, and you having a Paypal account would also be useful for other things in the future! :)

I created account, but problem is that I don't have Visa or Mastercard. I have only Visa Electron, so I don't think it will work.

You do not need to have a credit card or bank account listed with them, but it helps. If you do verify one or the other you have an increased limit (over $1000 if I recall correctly).
If you have a bank account, once someone sends money to your Paypal account you can have the money sent to your bank account (taking 3-4 days) or a check can be sent to you through the US mail... taking longer and incuring a $1.50 charge for the check withdrawl.

Golden Age Of Champions

Check on the availability of those titles for me? :D

This is Golden Age of Champions :)
I think the Firebird one is a bit harder to get a hold of, but if you can get it, it's worth it.
The "official" version is still worth buying. Hey, get both. :)

Oooooh... Did not know there was more than one cover to GAOC... either one then, I am not picky! :)

My pal Jeff Gillen just informed me that there WAS two versions... Golden Age of Champions (3rd Edition) and Golden Age Champions (4th Edition, no "of" in the title). I guess I would prefer the 4th Edition one over the 3rd.

Harvester,
Arggh!! Strikeforce gone! The holy grail of Champions supplements!
However, all is not yet lost! Do they still have Atlas Unleashed? If so I'd be very interested in that.
Thanks for going to all this trouble for us!

Hey Harvester, any new developments??

May 12th, '03, 08:51 PM
Frighteningly, I have all but three of the books listed already...
I lack only "The Blood & Dr McQuark", "Gadgets", and "Strikeforce".
Of those three, the only one I *REALLY* wanna see is "Strikeforce", and you say it's sold out. Why are you tormenting me like that?:(
I haven't done much to fill in the gaps in my out-of-print hero collection in awhile. Maybe I should start looking around again.

I'm sorry about silence. I was on holiday and funeral. I got one more Strike Force. There is no more old Hero products for sale because discount ended. If Gary doesn't want Strike Force I can sell it someone else. I'm also interested in TRADING old books for new ones. Yes, you read right. Here in Finland they don't sell any Hero books. Star Hero and Terran Empire is on my list.

Welcome back, sorry about the funeral part... I was able to get a Strike Force on Ebay, so I am covered :)

Thanks, man :). No problem, if you already got it. It wasn't so expensive :). I added my bank account on PayPal, so it should work now. If someone wants to buy Strike Force, let me know.
