I started a new Champions Campaign last night and one of the players has a copy of Hero Designer v2. When the characters were printed off there were a few problems. Now please keep in mind that I am not knowledgable or skills in the use of computers.

1. One of the Players Character's an Archeologist who ended up with 4 Pages of Skills. Is there a way to get it all on one or two pages. What is he missing.

2. The character sheets where printed, but cut off the right hand border and some info was lost. That is most definitely us, but I thought I should check first.

3. Automatons - He could not find a way to build them. That is likely us again, but if you don't ask you don't know.

Note I have a copy of Hero Designer v2 and am getting my first real computer on JUne 9th and will be online shortly after.

Please Help

Thanks Simon and everybody form the technologically challenged.

1. It depends entirely on the export template that you select. If you have a LOT of Skills (as it sounds like), you'll likely be better off with one of the templates that are based off of the publication formats. I believe some guy named RP(something) created one a while back....

2. Change your print margins within whatever application you are using to print (probably your browsers). Set them to something a bit more reasonable than the default of 1" (say, .5 or .25)

3. Set the template to the Automaton template.

Yes, if you have a word processor program such as Star Office or MS's I would recommend that you grab the RPM_(something or other) zip file from the free stuff page. You can also search this forum for templates posted by myself and others. you may find something that is exactly what you need.

Hey KS, I asked you on another thread, but I guess it slipped your attention. Would you mind if I did RTF versions of some of your Export Templates?

I'm new to the Hero System and Hero Designer, so please bear with me on this.

I've just begun reading about "Multipower" frameworks, but I can't figure out how to represent them in Hero Designer.

Any suggestions?

1. Read the documentation. Power Frameworks are explicitly detailed.

2. Look at the menu at the top of the purchased list for Powers (or Equipment). There's a menu labeled "Power Frameworks" with contents along the lines of "New Multipower," "New Elemental Control," and "New Variable Power Pool"
