I would like to join a game that plays on Long Island. I have been playing role playing games for 20 years + (I'm 33) and my current group doesnt want to play Champions. They are stuck on D&D and a few other games. Please let me know if there are close games.

Where in CT are you--that is, how far from Bridgeport? And what days do you play? I live very close to Port Jeff (about fifteen to twenty mins drive). I'm only available on Sat and/or Sun.
Thanks!

I run a Sunday evening game in New Haven, about a 20-25 min shot north on I95 from Pigport. We play 7:30-10:30 most Sundays and do between sessions stuff by E-mail.
The game is set in 2056 and has a strong mystical theme. Active PCs are Dr. Benedict/Capt Mysterion (think Billy Batson grew up to be John Constantine), Palmer (armored gadgeteer/hacker jailbait delinquent), and Lillith (spooky chick who commands the dead).
Past PCs included a Superman clone, a cosmic cyborg, an occult-based Nick Fury type, an anime princess, and a braindamaged speedster.
Check out my posts on the Quote of the week thread and peek at the PC's figures on my Clix Challenge thread.

I'm part of a gaming group that meets in South Huntington on Sundays 3-9 PM. We would like to add one or two more players.
The long-term Champions game I was GMing wound down a few months ago. At the moment, we're trying the Everquest D20 swords & sorcery rules. When that ends, I have ideas for either a Stargate game (possibly using the Hero System) or a new Champions campaign. We toss an occasional board game into the mix, too. I guess we spend around half our sessions with Champions, the rest with other games.
Finnious, are you still watching this thread? Where on LI are you?
tomd1969, yikes!, the ferry from Port Jeff takes over one hour, plus time to and from the ferry. If you're devoted enough to travel that far for a game, you deserve a medal for Hero Gamer of the Year. South Huntington is much closer...

Yes, indeed. That dedicated. When I first discovered it in '87, I knew that I had the system that was best suited to my tastes and needs.
I'll PM you with the details.
