Ok, this has been a question I've had for about two months now & I haven't been able to find the answer. A 1d6 total HA can do up to two body. Is that right? By that rational a child could kill a superhero without doing stun if he didn't have resistant defence. I don't understand. Is there some rule set up that normal attacks don't do body. How can a character survive without resistant defence? Thanks for your time.

You're overlooking the fact that an HA is Normal Damage, not Killing Damage. Therefore Normal Defenses, such as everyday PD, protect against it, making the situation you describe highly unlikely -- and in fact flat-out impossible with every PC I've ever seen.
To put it another way, Resistant Defenses are not required to protect a character against any BODY damage -- only the BODY damage done by Killing Attacks. The BODY damage done by Normal Damage attacks is protected against by Normal Defenses.
