Okay, I'll admit, it's my lunch hour, HERO 5th Ed. is at home, and I'm not sure if this is answered in there, but...

Feng Mo (Wind Spirit) has an EC (or MP) of "Air Control." It is OAF (matched set of folding fans). Take one fan away everything is at 1/2 Power. Take both away, she no longer has access to the EC/MP.

How do I model that?

Build one fan as giving the appropriate bonus to the other, main fan. Then, when one gets taken, simply assume that the fan that bestows the bonus is the one that gets taken. That way, it's as if they both contribute half of the entire power range.

Don't have 5e with me either... hope this helps.

Buy the 'top half' of it with OAF (Both Fans)

Buy the 'bottom half' with OIF (Either Fan)

What he said...OR...buy it OIF: multiple OAF, custom lim: only half power if one fan taken -1/2 (lose about half (exactly half in this case), take a 1/2 lim...)

Can I just say that it is really wierd to see you asking for help? I mean, I've been using your writeups as benchmarks for years -- and your "How Do I Do This?" doc even longer.

I remember a similar character I built on first edition. Did it at the time using the "Only usable when in hero costume" kludge.

5th edition is so much nicer...

Even the best of us get stumped once and a while. Heck, I developed a power for NH that Steve hadn't considered before and did say he liked a lot (and has used it since).
