I ran two Champions tables at DexCon this year - I'd have run more, but I could only make Saturday and Sunday. Anyway, the first one was a repeat of the Return of the Destroyer event. It was relatively poorly attended, but went over well with the players; on the other hand, I've run it a bunch of times in this region, and may have tapped the enthusiasm for it.
The second one was a followup event I wrote, called Trail of the Destroyer, which I'll have to make available to the LoH. It was packed. I almost had to turn people away because I'd only prepared six characters. I got many people who told me they'd love to come and play more Champions, as much as they can find on the schedule.
I have to ask Karmakaze, but I think Hero is starting to grow on people.
Oh, and I completely forgot to fill out LoH forms. Ah well, at least the games ran on time!

Actually, none of my games ran, because I kept being one person shy of a quorum. Some of that has to do with the timing of my games, (Thurs 8pm and Sun 3pm were both tough slots) and that fact that I didn't pre-recruit. I had a bunch of people tell me that they'd wants to try my games (or HERO system) but they got in too late or were stuck in a LARP that ran overtime, etc... I think Southern Exposure may do better for me.

If I could have made it then I would have been more then happy to play. When is Southern Exposure and where is it?

It also had something to do with the fact that I've been sick and on Friday had one of my rare severe attacks of, er, female troubles. (It doesn't kick in more than a couple of times a year, but when it does...) If I'd been feeling well and more energetic, I could probably have pulled off a quorum at least. I feel guily - makes me a bad LoH member.
Southern Exposure (http://www.dexposure.com/se2005.html) is Thursday, September 29 - Sunday, October 2, 2005, at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
It's run by the same folks as DexCon.

Not hardly. I've promised at least two LoH modules, which I have yet to actually deliver after more than a year. That makes one a bad LoH member. ;)

I may be unaccountably ill on Friday, September 30, and thus able to run some games there. When's the cutoff date for submissions?

I found it after I posted but thanks. Cherry Hill is much closer then DexCon to me. I will probably be able to make it and I am seriously considering signing up to be a GM.

Huh. I wonder if I could turn any of the stuff at hellenback.com into a module. The University of Hellenback stuff is solid, but the pregens for the university aren't well balanced enough. The regular heroes for the city campaigns should be do-able...

I don't know what the cutoff date is yet, but it's surely not yet - the submission form isn't even up yet. You know Vinny will call and nag at us when the deadline hits anyway... ;)

The cutoff date is September 1, and the event submission page is here: http://www.dexposure.com/se2005p.html
