the numeric listing in the list doesn't list right. will get every other number, 2,4,6, etc or 1,3,4,6,8, whatever...

Ummm...the ordering is fine when I open it.
A couple of questions (forgive me if these seem dumb):
1. Are you sure you're using 1.39b? It should say the version in the title bar....
2. Are you sure you're looking at the "number" of the slot and not the cost or END?
If possible, it may help if you post a screen grab of the problem.....

I've seen this happen when I have copied and pasted a power into a list or power framework, or when I've deleted a power from same. Closing and reopening the character has always restored the correct list numbering for me.

Can anybody verify this on version 1.39b? I cannot replicate this behavior, no matter what I try.
I've tried creating lists, moving items around in them, copying and pasting items between lists, cutting and pasting items between lists, deleting items, etc. In all cases, the lists are maintaining the proper numbering.
I know this is a problem that old versions of HD used to have, but they have not been evident for a long time now....this is why I asked (above) to verify the version of HD that you're using.
If anyone is seeing this behavior, please try to post a series of steps to replicate it. If the steps are done with a preexisting character, please post the character as well.

hmmm... I had this happen to me last night, and I was definately using 1.39b. However, I've been trying to recreate the error using the same characters, with no luck.
This is what I did:
1. Character "Adept" was open, and I was adding powers to a multipower.
2. Opened character "Grammarie", copied the #2 power from her power pool.
3. Pasted power into Adept's multipower, as the first slot.
4. Multipower in Adept was then numbered "2)", "3)", etc.
5. Tried moving the powers up and down, into and out of the multipower, still odd numbering. With the pasted power out of the power pool, numbering started at "3)".
6. Closed Adept, and reopened. Numbering was fixed.
However, as I've said, I can't get the bug to repeat. In case it might be helpful, I'll try to attach the character files...
edit: the poor grammar was bugging me.

Thanks for the steps...that did the trick.
I've got the issue fixed and will release an update before Friday's code freeze.
Thanks again!
