Now that everyone is (hopefully) thinking about minis in the wake of the contest, I thought I'd pass along some links to some smaller manufacturers that have caught my eye.

First up, Jim Bowen's Graven Images. http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/new_page_6.htm

Each gallery is well worth the look.

Next up, Eureka Minatures who make a WIDE range of esoteric subjects: http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=87_126&sort=3a

I mean, seriously, how often do you see "Winged fezzed monkeys" as a miniature category?!?!

The War Gods of Aegyptus line just screams out to be used for something: http://www.crocodilegames.com/

Hasselfree Miniatures also has a nice eclectic range. Warning, some miniature related nudity. http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/

Need some old west gunfighters or Native Americans? Try Conquest: http://www.conquestminiatures.com/index.html

But you say, "Hey you Traitor Manslut, I got minis by the fistfull. I need some custom bases!" And I point you here: http://www.wolvesbane.com/catalogue.htm

There ya go. That's what I have for now, but hopefully we can get some more additions from our resident experts: Bill, Redmenace, Hooligan X, Bubba and Blue. ;)

Those are unbelievable. Who's a thunk there was a market for that esoteric a subject. Thanks

I should point out that Crocodile Games is Allen's old company -- he was one of the founders, and developers of this game.

Really? Too cool! My wife's got a small Basti army. Crocodile's figures are awesome -- some of the best in the business IMHO. I'm pretty sure I mentioned their awesomeness in my first DH article. :bounce:

I've been intending to make an Anubis at some point form that line, I just keep getting sidetracked.

You mean this one (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update030405/CM002.jpg)?

Some of the Bowen minis are really creative (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update030405/CH001.jpg) and well-made (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update110804/CH101.jpg), like extraordinarily so (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update030405/Gott005.jpg). I could see using the Sandmen (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/sandmen.htm) as Nazis in a Pulp game, especially Vortigern (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update110804/SM091.jpg). I so want the "Vortigern with cape (http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/update110804/SM092.jpg)" mini!
