This thread was spawned out of a discussion in the "HERO Is Broken (http://www.herogames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=784905&postcount=385)" thread.

The concept was to build a Size Template for a character who was as tall as the Earth. What I did was take the diameter of the Earth, (12,756km... I don't know if this is polar or equatorial), and figure out how many applications of the Growth Power were needed to build the Template. It turned out that 340 points worth, was practically exactly what I needed, (22 uses of the 15 pt Growth, and 2 uses of the 5 pt Growth).

To give an idea of the size differences of a character with this Template, and the Earth... imagine that the man is 6' 5" tall, and the Earth is 6' 10 4/5" in height and width next to him.

One of the interesting things that evolved from this experiment, was that the planet-sized man, though no where near the volume of the Earth, ended up weighing 2.9514 E 22 metric tons, (whereas, the Earth is estemated to way only 5.9782 E 21 metric tons). Thus the Planetary-Sized man weighs roughly 5 times as much as the Earth, which makes the Earth fairly gossamer in comparison. (I can only assume that this is due to the Planetary-Sized man's super-cosmic nature... :p )

Many of the template's features were derived from the side-bar on page 184 of 5er, titled OTHER GROWTH TRAITS. Where these guide-lines diverged from the Size Template examples on pages 574-575 of the Appendix, I went with the Side-Bar. For instance, the Size Templates only give Energy DEF at a reduced amount, but the Side-Bar recommends giving both Physical DEF and Energy DEF at the amount I posted. I also added an extra STUN feature that is directly out of the Growth Power.

Obviously, there is much lacking in this Template to fully similate a Planetary-Sized man, (such as a magnetic field built using Power DEF... gravity field using Telekinesis... Life Support... or what have you.) I would very much like to get as much feedback, and suggestions for builds and changes, as I can.

Also, on a humorous note, there are a few aspects of this Template that are plain ridiculous, (the Megascaled Running, for instance...:D ). Since I build this Template pretty much exactly "to code" using suggestions from 5er, some of the info you will probably wish to throw right out, out of realism.

I think it would be interesting to create a specific set of characteristics for a planet but include, naturally, DEF and BOD, and these chars could be based on some of the things you have above and even recosted so planets could be afforded similarly to massive HQs.

Neat idea re characters.

What do you think about the idea of a "beyond-titanic-proportioned" naked man floating around in space?

How would you build his gravity?

Would you make all of his defenses Resisant?

Would he even be able to see creatures as small as normal humans?

Would his body, up close, be a roiling avalanche of lifeforms?

Would his skin be pitted with healing craters as big as football fields, but beyond his notice?

Would his internal organs be ultra-dense organic magma flows?

If you broke through the crust of his skin, would white hot blood geyser out of him like a Mercurial volcano?

Could you blow up the moon by lighting one of his farts?

Would he pine away eternaly of loneliness, starved for female companionship?

Did you ever read about the love affair of a woman and a rock in space? By the same guy who did Those Annoying Post Brothers. This reminds me of that.

As to your questions, if he's built off a human template, then he's a "regular character" except as qualified!

Could you blow up the moon by lighting one of his farts?

I'm picturing a new mechanism for the formation of "planetary nebula".

I'm picturing a new mechanism for the formation of "planetary nebula".Perhaps I should write up a "Solar", or "Stellar" size template.

Could you blow up the moon by lighting one of his farts? Is he a Gas Giant, perhaps?

I have a serious case of healing craters as big as football fields. It's known as acne.

I have a serious case of healing craters as big as football fields. It's known as acne. When you pop a zit, do you hear the screams of millions of life-forms crying out, and then suddenly becoming silent?

Or do you not hear them...
