Dan,

I was trying to build a powered armor character this morning, and I wanted to put all of the character's "powered" characteristics (STR, DEX, CON, etc.) in a list called "battle armor". To this list, I wanted to add the modifiers OIF and No Figured Characteristics (NFC). However, the NFC modifier was nowhere to be found on the Limitations List.

I found, however, that when I bought the characteristics one by one, that I was able to choose NFC. Is there any way to put NFC in the general Limitations list, so that it can be added to lists in this way? I know it would have made my creation of this particular character much easier.

If I'm overlooking this somehow, or making this much more difficult than it really is, please let me know. I tried using a custom limitation called "no figured characteristics", but then the stats don't come out right. Thanks!

The problem is that NFC is such a restricted Modifier. It only applies to a few Characteristics (the ones that are part of the calculation for Figured Chars).

If it is allowed to be applied to a List, then it will automatically be applied to everything in the list. While this may be what you want in this case, I think that yours is a very rare occurrence.....

Dan,

This isn't meant as an argument, but rather a question. Could we take a poll here on the Hero games board to see what percentage of players might use it if included? I just know that in my particular case, it would have been nice (although obviously not imperative) to have.

If you're saying it's not worth the time and/or trouble you'd have to spend in adding the feature, that's a completely different story, and I'll let it drop.

Thanks again for the great product you've provided us in Hero Designer. I look anxiously forward to version 2!

It's more that I think it goes against much of the concept of HD to add it into lists, as it completely circumvents the Modifier logic....There's a large number of Modifiers that are not available for Lists (you have to add them individually to the Powers for which they are valid)....this is just one of them.
