I've been trying to build a Detect in the Radio Sense Group, which as Range built-in, but with No Range (-1/2). The Limitation isn't available (the program claims that the Power doesn't have Range, which it does) and I can't figure out how to make it available.

HD is correct. Senses are not Ranged Powers. The "Ranged Sense Modifier" is distinct from the Ranged Power Advantage.
There is no mechanism in the rules for removing an inherited Sense Modifier from a Sense.

That's very odd. I've come across published several items (Terran Empire and/or Spacer's Toolkit -- I don't have my books with me right now, but I can bring them tomorrow) using exactly that mechanism.

Nope. They're using a custom Modifier.
The "range" on senses is not the same as Ranged Powers.
Your sight does not operate at Range -- it perceives things that are a ways away. There is a difference. Perceiving things at Range is Clairsentience.

The playtest of Spacer's Toolkit didn't include any, but it had several Sight Group Images with No Range. I read it without Images first, so you might have done the same misstake?

I'll get more info tomorrow in case you (fred) need more clarification.
