Here's a creative project for tonight. Lets piece together an Area 51 for the Champions setting. What's in it? Who runs it? What is it's purpose?

Here's my addition: One of the various research projects at Area 51 is geneticly altering intelligence agents. The goal is to have agents that look as though they are unaltered humans, but are acually much more dangerous. A few of the abilities that they are working on are...
Increased Brain Mass: Eidetic Memory, Lightning Calculator, +10 Int 18pts
No Pain: Damage Reduction 75%, Only Versus Stun (-1/2) 30pts
Hardened Knuckles: 4d6 HA 20pts

Feel free to add on your own ideas.

Easy. A small white box made of cardboard, containing several cheap magazines sealed in plastic bags with stiff white cardboard inserts. Only... these magazines discuss information of the highest degree of secrecy -- and things that haven't happened yet.

This is a blatant idea theft from an X-Men annual/special.

Area 51a is the US Goverments Top Secret proving grounds, rumors exist of it being a trove of alien extraterestial research

Area 51b is what all the rumors say, it is controled by PRIMUS (Or what ever your version is called)

Area 51 is the birthplace of Mechanon.

Shortly after WW II an alien spacecraft crashed at Roswell, New Mexico. It was unmanned and showed signs of having been in space for centuries. Scientists transferred it to Area 51 and slowly began to decipher its secrets. Many of the technological breakthroughs achieved by the United States in the 20th Century resulted from studies of this vessel.

The ship was controlled by a computer of staggering complexity, which the scientists theorized was artificially intelligent. In 1985 they succeeded in bringing this computer online. They were not prepared for how intelligent it was, nor how hostile. The AI took control of the base's security systems and other technology, using them to kill all the personnel. It then created androids in the image of the slain humans, and built a powerful mobile vessel for its intelligence resembling human configuration. Thus did Mechanon's reign of terror begin.

To this day Mechanon maintains Area 51, with androids playing the roles of military personnel and research scientists, continuing to release a trickle of new technological "discoveries" to justify keeping the project open, while using the base's secure connections to government intelligence sources and military telecommunications to further Mechanon's agenda.

Area 51 is run by super intelligent gerbils.

No, seriously. Gerbils.

The Gerbils are secretly Tribbles in disguise and are doing what they do every night: Plotting to take over the World !

Area 51 is where they test out fabrics and materials used in the construction of prisons for Super Powered beings. It is also one of the locations where the survivors of Project Sunburst and other questionable military research are held

Here, I just hacked into Area 51 and downloaded some of the experiment programs from there. Here is the image.

Area 51 is where the N.S.A. and Majestic-12 work on a number of technology programs with the aid of the "Greys', the aliens who were first discovered after the Roswell crash. Most of the technology worked on here is aerospace related - propulsion systems, gravity control, aircraft materials and avionics. Some weapon systems work is also performed, mainly with enhanced particle beam weapons.
