Hello. I'm starting a Champions PBEM set in the mysterious depths of the ocean. It will be set in the Champions Universe, and makes some use of the Hidden Lands sourcebook.
I've been involved with RPG's for, eek, something like 25 years. I don't have extensive experience with the Hero System. However, I was involved with two long-running Champions games held in AOL chat rooms back in the late '90's, as well as being a player in a number of PBEMs over the years.
The campaign is called Depths of Valor. I'm shooting for a Bronze Age tone, i.e., something similar to the tone of '80's comic books. Morality has shades of grey, reality though is unrealistic, and while the characters may be tormented in the line of duty, the world isn't overwhelmed by nihilism or cynicism.
The setting, as mentioned, is the ocean. Atlantis plays a prominent role in events. The PC's will be dealing with events ranging from the nefarious schemes of undersea villains, to the unscrupulous dealings of the surface-dwellers, as well as anything else I can think of to throw at you. The focus will primarily be on action and adventure, with a little drama and horror thrown in.

Admission is by approval only, and I plan to check several times daily for recruits. When the campaign gets under way, I'd like for people to be able to post at least once daily.
Characters will be built on the standard 200 + 150, somewhat modified by the unique setting. More details are available through files I have posted to the group.
