I've read the UMA section on Power Advantages for Martial Arts. I'm sure that I understand how to combine the character's STR, martial DC and the maneuver itself to calculate a Naked Advantage.

All is well until the character tries to use an Advantaged Martial Maneuver with a weapon in hand.

It appears to me that in order to use a naked advantage on a martial maneuver using a weapon, I should account for the DC of the weapon in the base for the naked advantage.

Am I right, or do I get to use a weapon for free? Or is there some non-obvious third option.

An Advantaged Martial Maneuver, as described on UMA 104-05, is built as a naked Advantage that applies to a specific Maneuver. As such it only works with that Maneuver, and only when unarmed. If a character wanted such an attack to work with a weapon, he’d have to calculate the cost of the Advantage including all the damage the weapon could possibly add.
