I think it'd be very helpful to release a freeware app that does nothing more than export hero designer character files to html. That way people that don't have hero designer can view the character files their fellow players send out to each other.
It'd allow the user to select the desired .HDx file, input a name/location to save the html version as, and which export template they want to use. This would not only be very handy for many gamers, but also show people some of the HD's handy features (semi-consistent output, uses the same notation for advantages/limitations/etc. throughout the character sheet, etc.).
