I have a player who wants to make his force field so that if he moves (such as being knocked back, picked up by the villain, what have you) the FF will automatically turn off. At this point I'm presuming that means that he can't move with it on either (such as running). Apparently he's a mentalist who tends to set up camp in a spot and launch his attacks for the team from that spot.

What level do you set this at? Sounds pretty limiting to me. Probably over a -1. Suggestions?

Well, it's got to be at least -3/4, because -1/2 would be the Lockout Limitation on his own Movement Powers, then on top of that it also turns off if someone else moves him. I'd make it -1.

I think a -1 sounds about right.

Anything over that is supposed to represent a power that is severly crippled. Note that as written the FF will protect him, then go down after he takes the KB. Given that he is a mentalist, this should only really come up when he takes knockback.

Good points. I'll set it at the recommended -1. Thank you both!

Okay, I am just throwing this out here, but isn't this more of a Force Wall?
It seems like he wants a sort of "bubble" to protect him while he does his stuff, but if he is knocked out of the bubble, or has to run away from the bubble, it no longer protects him.

I'm just sayin' . . .:)

There's a similar limitation for invisibilty; only when not moving, but I forget if it's -1/2 or -1. You might compare it to that for reference.
