:o My elf just incidently leveled a very large area of california forest and prime real estate. She has a magic VPP of 20 points and I was wondering what combination of what would be best to cast to make the forest regrow and heal the land?

Basically I am looking for something to regenerate the land and make it green again and filled with tall trees and such.

I don't have my book now, but I'd probably do it as some form of Major Transformation - dead ground/flaura into fertile gound type effect. The SFX could be some form of accelerated plant growth. With only 20 points, the elf will be working at it for a while, but penance is penance :)

Change Environment might work too, but if penance is part of the justification, make it expensive.

I'd use an environmental effect. FREd listed one example as "Flowers Blossom around you" or some such thing. It specified they'd whither quickly unless something else could keep them alive, but since this is an area where the same foliage once did reasonably well, I think it'd take. Unless there was a toxic waste spill or some such thing, which would impede future growth.
Maybe summon would work. Hmmmmm, that actually seems like a good Idea.
transform would be irrationally expensive, I think. Especially for such a large area. It would work too, though.
Dimensional transport would be a cheat IMO, but you could do it. Just take yourself (and buddies) to a world where everything was the same, except there were trees there. Dimensional transport had a bit on "Wish Granting" that worked that way.
Aid to recover would work.
