Lemme preface this by saying I know just enough about computers to survive and that's it. So I apologize in advance if this question sounds stupid.

Is the time on the boards correct? It seems to be about 15 minutes behind today. I looked at the time of my posts and then time up in the corner and says 15-20 mins behind every clock in my house and (just to be sure) the Weather Channel.

Just curious.

EDIT: See it says I posted at 8:08 PM but the actual time is like 8:25. Huh?

You're caught in a time hiccup, resulting in the error in the post time.

Actually, the time on the server is probably set wrong. I'll ask Dan about it when he gets back.

Well you are Starlord. Perhaps it is taking your posts 17 Light Minutes to arrive at the server, here on Earth, from where you are posting. :D

This isn't the first time the board clock's been off by several minutes.

Maybe some sort of utility to check it against an atomic clock (I use PTBScan) would help avoid this problem in the future. :)

Hmmm, you could be right. We are still using dial-up connections here in Ursa Minor as well. :D
