2 x Effect from Mental Illusions and damage

The Open Mind is a happy-go-lucky Brick with the Disadvange: Vulnerability 2 x Effect from Mental Powers.

TOM is attacked by the evil Swiss supervillain known as Mean Id-Flaying Farmyard Yodeler. MIFFY decides to use a Mental Illusion on TOM. MIFFY wants her illusion (a sheep with a bomb strapped to its back) to be able to do both STUN and BODY.

This is a very tricky Mental Illusion to pull off, but because of TOM's Vulnerability the total on MIFFY's Mental Illusion dice is doubled.

TOM heroically tries to defuse the bomb, but (at MIFFY's nasty whim) finds himself with an ewe-side seat for the sheep's demise (EEEEEW!)

Now the question: Does TOM take 2 x STUN and 2 x BODY from the explosion?

Nope. The doubling of effect for Mental Powers may make it more likely that the mentalist can achieve an “Illusion does damage” level of effect, but the Vulnerability does not also increase the damage suffered.
