Well, I loaded in the 1.18 update, and immediately ran into a small glitch. It's fine if you're extra careful about entering characteristics, but I ran into a situation where I accidentally entered a 102 Body. (I was typing fast, and apparently for body it didn't highlight the value, even though I tabbed.)

When I went down to figured characteristics, I ran into the glitch. It would not let me overwrite any of the figured characteristics. It simply added whatever I typed to the amount in the field already. I could cut it down to what I really wanted with the arrow keys, but that wound up being from 625 to 25. A lot of clicks. Then, when I tried to sell down Recovery, it wouldn't let me. It kept returning to what was figured, even with the arrow keys.

Like I said, a glitch - and a preventable one, it seems - but nonetheless, there it is. :)

If you were trying to sell back two figured characteristics, it may not let you. I haven't tried myself, but I've been told you can only buy back one figured characteristic per FREd.

Correct, you can only sell back one Figured Characteristic.

Part of what you might be running into is that the Characteristics are all figured "real time". As the values change, everything is recalculated.

This means that if, say, you want to have 20 Body and you highlight the "10" and start typing 20, you will first have 2 Body and then 20.

The same goes for the figured characteristics. If you want to lower them, you may need to use the arrows.

As far as highlighting goes, as you enter the text field for each characteristic, the value should be highlighted. If you just start typing at that point, you will overwrite the value (assuming that it can be -- see above).

Yes, I quickly learned about the fact that I can't type in Figured Characteristic Values. I have to say I'm not happy with that, but it's not a huge deal.

But that's only peripheral to the issue I brought up.

Specifically, without actually buying down any other figured characteristics, I was unable to buy Recovery down to 10 - in the situation mentioned - when it was the only figured characteristic I was attempting to buy down. It wouldn't let me.

Now, as I also said, this was triggered by a situation I won't often find myself in, and it is correctable (if you want to call it that) by restarting the character from scratch so the messed up characteristics aren't an issue.

I just wanted to report the glitch, so you were aware of it.
