This is a map I created for the online Savage Earth game. I don't think it poses any spoilers for the players who frequent this board. The map is slightly interactive. Hover over any part of it for a brief tag describing it.
Fot hose who are interested, this is from the city of Tallon, Merchant District, Broadway, the area around the estate of Merchant Vance, a junior silk merchant.

The sacle is 1 hex = 6 meters (3x HERO scale)

Way cool. Is the rest of the city similarly mapped?

They seem to like water features. Lots of mosquito-borne illnesses in the city? :eg:

If someone will send me a terabyte disk-drive, a really, really powerful CPU and pay my living expenses for a year, then it's as good as done. :)

In reality, yes, mosquitoes would be a problem. Savage Earth is an idealized world to some extent. Witness the lack of marked bathrooms in my Hall of Art map.

I could come up with any number of decent explanations as to the lack of mosquitoes: They died out in the climate change when the earth tipped. The Demon Kings eradicated them. Merikians stock all open water with mosquito fish or chemicals. But I prefer to ignore the problem in favor of what "looks good".
