Why do I have to log in constantly?

seems like at least 2-3 times a session. Might be passing midnight, for one of them, but...

really annoying.

Your login is tracked via a cookie that is set by the site. The cookie will "timeout" and delete itself after 900 seconds of inactivity on the forums.

If you are remaining inactive that long, or if you have cookies disabled (for whatever reason) in your browser, then you will need to login again.

Assuming you have cookies turned on (if you don't there's not much that can be done), you can go to Profile -> Edit Options and select "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)". This will keep you from ever having to enter your username/password for the forum again.

OK, that explains it. I am on a computer that I would rather not have log ME on all the time, I'd hate to have someone else post as me. :)

I run multiple windows fur the 2-3 sites I follow, and well, some are long.

I've run into the same problem plus on a few occasions I guess my reply took more than 900 seconds to post so I had to log on again and lost my post, because of this I have started to copy my post before I send so that if I lose it I can just paste it after loging in again. I lost 3 or 4 rather long posts before I caught on.
