I'm working on the japanese branch of the crimson banner, and I'd like some help with a name ....Lady Hell flower. Is this Hanna no Yomi? or Yomi no hanna? ...or is it some thing else entirely? If you can give some other ominous names both male and female that would be very cool...this paticular group has made pacts with the underworld to gain super martial arts abilitys......Thanx....

Have you tried any of the various translation websites?

No I don't trust them...I'm a neo-luddite and I've tried them with languages I do speak and they can be Really inaccurate....also my impression is that they don't do grammer or fine meanig worth boo...for example I tried a dependable one and found that the word "swordswoman" does not exist...maybe it does not...but I'm sure someone who spoke the lang. could come up with something...but I was at a loss as to how to get the machine to help me...Thanx...:)

lady-obasan, redi-, okugata
Lady-reifujin
lady-touji, redi, shukujo, kijo, kifujin
hell-makai, jigoku, heru, naraku
flower-kusabana, hana, hana
http://www.freedict.com/onldict/jap.html
Use the site. I tend to look up words for a Codename, then take those words and seach on them for English Names, or use the Japanese words to form a Name.

I'd call her Jigokubana-kijo. In any case the order should be hell, flower, lady. Maybe Naraku-no-hana Shukujo. Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Yomi no hanna would be closer, but would basically be Hell's Flower. The no is usually a possessive.
Jigokuhana would be good for Hellflower, I'd say. Jigokuhana-hime might work for your purposes. hime is used for princess but can also simply be a lady of noble rank, so would work for Lady.

I'm still writing, so I can't post yet...right now Shapeshift, HKA (grow claws etc...) streaching, and wuxia leaping (Flight 11", must land each phase) and maybe Onibijutsu (breathing fire)...I'm glad the name is scary...because it's meant to be..:)

Thanx...I just like the ponderous sound of Yomi no hanna...can her friends call her Yomiko?

If she's young they could call her Yomi-chan. 'no' basically replaces apostrophe s or 'of' just use it in that order. -ko is a pretty common end for a girl's name or can be used to mean small. In an Exalted game I my Solar Sorceror's name was Kokami. (little god)
