Freedom Corps #25

Sooooo, this upcoming week is the 25th adventure for my group. Going by comic book logic, the 25th should be an important one, most notably for my campaign, an invasion by creatures known as the Null (see the Tales of the Freedom Corps thread). They were built up as big baddies starting in issue #5 until the team closed the portal to the Null dimension in issue #10. After that, with the exception of a small adventure they encountered a Null leader from an alternate Earth, they have not seen a Null since. However, prophecies, warnings from alternate Earth's that have been overrun by Null, and other bad omens from issues #11-19 led the team to believe that it was not the end of the Null. #19 saw the culmination of another major storyline where Zorran resurrected Shirak the Destroyer. Upon Shirak's defeat, Zorran cursed the world and raised portals to the Null dimension all over the world before he himself turned into stone. For the past four issues, all adventures have been fought while islands float in mid-air over most cities in the world, each carrying a Null Portal. A dark omen indeed!!!

Anyway, thoughts on this story, the concept of Issue #25 in your campaigns, or the concept of story buildup for this thread are welcome!
