Hi Guys,
I am starting a new champions campaign soon using a mixed DC/Marvel universe using the Heroclix minatures.

the first character I am attempting to model is Superman.
To give you a little background, I am going for the modern version of Supes as per recent JLA issues.
He will start at the top end of the power scale with STR 100
(the same as my universe Thor and starting Hulk before getting mad).
His Dex is 35 (very high for my universe but characters such as Beast, Nightcrawler and Spidey will have dex from 40 to 50).

I am not concerned in fitting any character into a point value, I want detailed write ups as true to the character as possible, so there point totals are irrelevant.

I have used the Superman's posted at The Great book of real heroes site extensively in the following wrie up especially Sam Bell's and Micheal Santorineos.

pls feel free to give as much comment good or bad as possible,
I have not run champions 5th before and have not run 4th edition for a long time so may well be very rusty on some rules.

Here he is

Superman (Clark Kent)

There you go, he chugs in at 1424 points.
A couple of other notes, I have changed the teamwork skill slightly for my campaign in that it only works for teams or heroes you have worked with extensively in the past or currently.
I will be leaving recovery alone unless someone has a actual healing or regeneration power as I do not want combat any longer than it currently will be. the smae applies to stun in most cases.
I have given characters a rich lsit of contacts and hunted's as I want the characters to reflect their long comic histories as much as possible and this gets over to the players the campaign has a rich background and past and interacts without their presence.

tell me what you think

Remember to add Perk: Membership Justice League of America. The League has resources beyond it's members.

Yep, great point, thks very much. I have costed his JLA membership at 6 points. Does that sound about right?

Not up on the comic books, but based on the Justice League show on Cartoon Network, that would seem fair. Although I wonder, would that be a Perk: Membership in the Justice League, or would that be like a PC contributing points toward the group's Base?

In that case, you can lose the FTL Flight - - current incarnation of Superman cannot exceed the speed of light.

for a good 4th edition version of Superman, take a look at the Viper book and Viperia (if she wasn't a Supergirl clone I don't know who would be.)
you got most of what she did, but she might give ya ideas

I would add some form of Megascale flight. Megascale has replaced FTL for 5ed, and you buy it as 1"=Xkm. He can still fly around the world pretty darn fast...just not at FTL speeds.
Read up on Megascale and see if it fits into your interpretation of the Supe concept.

Lower the Con (to about 40), by some more as "Non Persistent" He is quite easy to get a good blow on at first

I would suggest a defensive MP that includes desolid (with various advantages and limitations) for when he does the bullets can't hurt me while I just stand/fly here routine

Ah, the age old observation! The George Reeves Superman would let bullets bounce off him left and right, but the second a perp threw an emptied revolver at him, Superman would dodge it! ROFL! Love it.
