I have been reading the weapons in the Fifth Edition, and there is a column labeled "A/R Cost", and I cannot for the life of me figure out what this means. Help?

And why does everyone refer to 5th Ed as Fred?

Thanks in advance,

cK

Active Point/Real Point cost.

Prior to 5E being published, someone asked me what they should nickname it (the Fourth Ed. book being known as the "BBB"). I said, offhandedly, that I didn't know, but they could call it "Fred" for all I care, as long as they bought a copy. The "nickname" stuck, and someone eventually came up with the idea that it stood for "Fifth Rules Edition." ;)
