Hi Dan,

WELCOME BACK! Now get busy...just kidding...we love ya... :D

I THINK some of the automation costs and END usage MIGHT be off. Here is what I observed...

1) END cost on Force Field and Force Wall is NOT 1 per 10 active. It appears to be 1 per 30. Is this right?
2) The point cost for Force Wall is double or triple. Hard to tell with the math. :) Do automatons pay extra for Force Wall? (I know they do for personal defenses but this seems weird.)
3) Damage Resistance appears to be 3x as expensive. Again...I know the defense cost is raised but should this be 3x?
4) Mental Defense is 3x as expensive. Again...is this right?

Thanks!

1) Yes, this is correct. The cost for the abilities is tripled, but the END usage is not. Tricky, but that's the way Steve wanted it ;)

2) It's tripled. And yes, it's supposed to be that way. All Defense Powers are tripled in cost for Automatons with "Takes No STUN"

3) Yes. It's a Defense Power.

4) Yes. It's a Defense Power.

Steve and I went over this in fair detail back in the early days when it first came up....ALL Defense Powers are tripled in cost. That means any Power which is listed as belonging to the Defense type in FREd (FF, FW, Damage Resistance, Damage Reduction, PD, ED, MD, PowD, etc) will be tripled.

I've also known some GMs to classify DESOLID as a Defense Power for purposes of Automatons to combat a rash of Vision wanna be's, due to its Defensive applications.

That would just take a very simple template edit....adding in DEFENSE to the type list for Desolidification on the Automaton template.
