In a heroic level game where 'normal' equipment costs money instead of character points.
How does this work in relation to Automatons that take no stun, and normally divide their defences by 3, then pay triple for additional defences?
1) In the interest of play balance, Automatons have to have all of their defences be inherent to them.
2) In the interest of play balance, Automatons have to pay a character point surcharge in order to be able to use 'normal' defensive equipment. The surcharge is equal to twice the real point value of the equipment to be used. (effectively they pay triple, then get rebated the real cost of the equipment, just like any other character)
3) The automatons may wear 'normal' equipment for just the money cost of it, just like any other character, but they only get 1/3rd the DEF from it.
4) The automatons may ewar 'normal' equipment for just the money cost of it, and get the full defensive value.
5) Other (please elaborate)
