Hey,
I just moved to DC, are there any games in the area?
(Metro accessable?)

Thanks,

I live in Reston, Va which is roughly a 45 min. drive to D.C. Of course there's also the bus and Metro.

Not really. I've been living here for almost 3 years now. I know there is a game somewhere in northern VA, and there are some games in Baltimore. But DC just doesn't seem to have many Hero gamers. And the ones it does have that I know of don't play much anymore.

I'll check back here a couple times to see if you found anything. I currently live in Van Ness and am stuck playing D&D. I may try to convert my current group once FH comes out, but that will be dodgy.

We're out here :)

Really, I've got an semi-regular game going in Fall Church, VA but we're pretty full up right now...

I'd suggest trying some of the FLGS, I know that Complete Strategist in Falls Church has a board, and I know lots of folks get together for other games in Chantilly at the Game Parlor.

I'm afraid we're full-up too, though there is (or at least recently was) at least one other HERO group in Northern VA (i.e., a third group, in addition to mine and Cyragnome's). I second Cyragnome's advice, and would also encourage you to try again on this board every now and again. I, for one, used to check it regularly, but just now checked it for the first time in weeks.

Been doing hero here for years.... full of course. You might check out Other-realms in Gaithersburg, MD - new store has a nice big area for gaming as well as a nice open layout.

My group is currently doing a Rifts game but I am trying to convert them over to doing either a Champions or Fantasy Hero game. We may lose one person if when we switch games (a total Palladium freak but other wise a nice guy). We are currently playing in Glen Burnie (30-45 minutes from DC) but will most likly be playing in the Annapolis area (still 30-45 minutes from DC) within the next month or so. Don't let the drive bother you though, we have one guy who drives in from Frederick (almost 2 hours one way) and I just moved to St. Mary's County and my one way drive to Glen Burnie is 92 miles. Books on tape rule! :) Anyway if you are interested in playing either reply her or drop me a line at diamond_spear@yahoo.com.

On a side note how the hell is a role-playing game "full"? I have run as many as 13 people at once and had a regular group of 10. I had one GM who quite successfuly ran a consistant and entertaining game with 15 of us to keep track of. Can someone please let me know what a "full" game is?

Coordinating between even 5 people that can not play on a week night evening is a NIGHTMARE. we are lucky to play once a month. adding people adds times when everyone can not make it. additionally RPG's bog down really badly at more than 6 people playing.
