I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can talk about whose art we liked the best.
Obviously, with only 10 poll choices max, I had to leave people out, but I tried to include the most frequent artists from the books I randomly pulled off my shelf, mostly the main genre books.

There are several who deserve mention.
Eric Lofgren
Storn
Andrew Cremens - he has more swing in his work but has the ability to nail homeruns now and then.

I think you may have left the whole poll out :)
I like Storn's work too though
John Grigini has some excellent work in 5ER, and there are a number of pieces I like that are not directly credited, so I'm not sure :(

It took me a while to decide which names to include. Limiting it to 10 artists was very very difficult. I eventually added Cara Mitten over Chris Stevens (they were my final two) just based on Cara having done more work in the handful of HERO books I happen to have with me right now (a very unscientific sample). There is just no way to do this on 10 options without leaving out tons of fantastic artists. I expect the thread will be as much about quibbles regarding my picks for the 10 people as it will be about who they like.
Anyway, my favorite is Andrew Cremeans. It seems like most of the art that impresses me enough to make me look for the artist's name has his signature on it.
EDIT: It also took me some time to try to figure out who NATO was. I thought it was Nate Barnes, but there was NATO art in MMM and he isn't credited for that book. I eventually gave up and assumed that Nate just didn't get credited for that book for some reason.

Weird... no poll when I posted but now there is?
It is cheating to include Keith. I count him in the big leagues of cartography, running neck to neck with the best WOTC has to offer.

If anyone has links to any of the artist's websites, I'd be much obliged if you could post them in this thread

It took me longer than i thought to pin down 10 names. If I could have put up about 20 options, it would have been up much faster.
I included Keith for his art, but if you also want to take the maps into account thats fine too. I forget which book it was, but one of the books I was looking at had multiple great illos with KAC down in the corner.

This is the Keith "Relevant Middle Name" Curtis who posts on the boards? Huh. I noticed the maps in Pulp HERO with his name on them but somehow never realized he did art. No, I don't know where I thought his avatar came from.

Chris Stevens and Storn Cook [who have both, unfortunately, gone on to work for Green Ronin :(].
I thought Storn was freelance and worked for whomever commisioned him... could be wrong though.

Johnathan Davenport, but Storn is running a close second.

For my vote, Keith narrowly beat out Nate & Andrew, with Storn a respectable fourth.
Albert Deschesne and Dany St. Pierre also get honorable mentions in my book.

Overall I think the art in the books to be sub-par. Chris Stevens is without a doubt the best artist to contribute to Hero Games.

I had to vote for "not there" because I'm not partial to any one particular artist. Perhaps a poll for multiple choice answers...

Well, Zircher is now working in the comic book industry. And of course there were a couple of prominent 4th ed. products with covers by the legendary George Perez.
Storn and Deschene are the only two who come to mind of the regular artists.

Bud Carson, hands down. His work in RWTE, though not a HERO product, was phenomenal, but it certainly presaged his fine work in the Fantasy HERO books. I liked even his early stuff when I was running an O:TFXF campaign years ago, though his persepctive was sometimes off back then. His Star Hero stuff is great, too. If he did everything, we'd be in good shape.
