move after grab (redux)

Well, I've now checked the FAQ twice (once each of the HTML and PDF versions), and I can't find anything referencing how grabbing someone else affects one's movement. The closest I could find were question 8 on page 82 (of the PDF; echoed on FAQ p22 and on pp 93-94 of Ult Brick) and questions 6,7,9&11 on p 83 (but none of those answer the question either; the former two and latter imply that the Grabber can move, but say nothing of how much; the third asks about the Grabbee's ability to move). (As a side note on the FAQ, questions 4&6 of p88 seem awfully similar.)

Have I missed it in there somewhere? (And no, I don't have the Combat Handbook. :( )

I see what the problem is -- I misread your question as asking about the Grabbed character's movement. There's no rule that prevents the Grabber from moving while keeping hold of someone he's Grabbed, but of course he has to have sufficient STR to move the Grabbed person and the Encumbrance rules may affect his ability to move.
