Hi there,

Here's the details...

Configuration:
Mac OS X 10.4.4/1GHz G4/512MB Ram/PowerBook

Hero Designer Version:
2.42

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File menu --> New character.
2. Click Powers tab.
3. From the Power Frameworks menu, select New Elemental Control.
4. Click OK. (Sets default of 10 Active Points.)
5. Click Force Field and set to 5 PD and 5 ED.
6. Click 'Add Modifier', select Reduced Endurance.
7. Leave as Default, i.e. 1/2 End and click OK.
8. Now attempt to dismiss dialog.

Results
System beep whenever you click on the dialog.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Take care,

Derek

Post your trace.log file (though I doubt this will have much information in it).

Make sure that you're not clicking on the "define" button -- Mac's handling of modal dialogs in its earlier Java implementations leaves quite a bit to be desired.

You likely want to upgrade your java installation on your system to Java 5 (there are instructions in a post by Keith on this forum for doing such).
