I am trying to get a better understanding of how to use this sort of framework. I am trying to save myself from some trial and error time. :) Post your examples and experience, please and thank you.

Is there anything specific you are having trouble understanding? I could go on for hours describing how I've used it, what I allow and disallow and when I make exceptions and allow something I normally disallow and my own problems with how it all ends up working... but I'm not sure what you're looking for.
Judging by the title of the thread, I'd assume you would like to use a VPP to make a Mimicry Pool of some sort? The classic wtf can't-be-done example would be Rogue from the X-Men. Here's one way to write it up:
Power Absorption: Variable Power Pool (Mimic Pool), 150 base + 75 control cost, Powers Can Be Changed As A Zero-Phase Action (+1), No Skill Roll Required (+1); (375 Active Points) Character Has No Choice Regarding When Or How Powers Change (-1), VPP Powers Can Be Changed Only In Given Circumstance (flesh to flesh contact; -1/2), Limited Class Of Powers Available Limited (Multiform Only; -1/2). Total Cost: 225
When Rogue touches someone flesh to flesh, it triggers the VPP which creates a Multiform which is effectively just herself with the addition of the Skills and Powers of the target touched. The Multiform always has Instant Change and Rogue immediately changes into the new form. The new form always has a Dependance: Flesh To Flesh Contact With Source Character with a 3d6 drain on all "new" Powers every Phase that flesh to flesh contact is not maintained, and an Accidental Change back to the base form when all powers are drained.
Rogue would also have other Powers (to reflect the gaining of the target's memories and the dibilitating effects using this power has on the target), but this VPP demonstrates how to use a VPP to create a power mimic similar to Rogue.

Yep, it is an open-ended request. I am looking for any experience and examples folks have, because I do not have a whole lot. Your example is the kind of thing I am looking for.

Bumping this up in the hopes I'm not the only one with an example of a mimic pool.

Thanks.
I went to Surbrook's site and he has a couple 'Anime' characters with Mimic VPP which are quite helpful.
My questions concern mostly limitations. If one has the pool as Cosmic, it can be quite costly. I know that limitations can be applied, but I am not sure which combos work best to lower the cost. That is to say, how I can be certain my Advantages and Limitations are not contridicting one another.
